Elections

Wayland Township has one precinct and all voting is held at the Wayland Township Hall – 1060 129th Avenue.

The dates for elections in 2020 are:  March 10 – Presidential Primary, August 4 – State Primary, and November 3 – Presidential-State General.


Now is the time to make sure you are registered to vote and that all of your voter information is current for the next election.

Absentee voting applications are available 75 days before each election.  Ballots are available 45 days prior to each election.

This can be mailed in or dropped off to the Township office, we have a drop box to the right of the office door.


How you can get an absentee ballot….

Due to the passage of the statewide ballot proposal 18-3, all eligible and registered voters in Michigan may now request an absent voter ballot without providing a reason.  Wayland Township keeps a permanent absentee voter list and if you wish to vote absentee in ALL future elections, we can add you to the Permanent Absent Voter List.  See the contact information above to be placed on the list.

If you would like an absentee voter application for the upcoming election, you will need to complete this form and return it to the township.

Wayland Township has sponsored two Free Little Libraries.  One is at the Township Offices.  The other one is at the Gun Lake Park on Patterson Avenue.
